Developer seeks to draw 6M gal of water per year, Society takes action to oppose

A developer, RREAF Holdings LLC, is seeking a permit to withdraw 6,256,339 gallons of water per year for non-native landscape irrigation in Salado, TX. Clearwater Underground Water Conservation District (UWCD) will hold a hearing on January 11th.

What is the Society doing about it?

The Tonkawa Chapter recently collected 50 signatures and sent a letter to Clearwater UWCD.

Next Steps: Native Plant Society of Texas members and Bell county residents can help oppose this action by attending the hearing on January 11th. Clearwater UWCD will conduct the hearing on Wednesday, January 11th, at 1:30 p.m. at 700 Kennedy Court, Belton, TX in the Clearwater UWCD Board Room.
