Book Signings & Presentations with Sara Dykman – Oct 2022

**ARCHIVED POST **

In 2017 Sara rode her bicycle 10,201 miles following the monarch migration. Her goal was to be a voice for the monarch, by giving presentations, interviews and connecting with people along the route (www.beyondabook.org). In 2021 her book, Bicycling with Butterflies, was published, reaching even more people.

“The monarchs need us. They can’t call politicians to demand healthy prairies or rally for native gardens. But we can. We might not be able to fly like butterflies, but we can bike alongside them and be their voice.” – Sara Dykman

This fall, she is organizing a motorcycle (not bicycle this time) book tour from her home state of Kansas to where the monarchs overwinter in Mexico. She is speaking to NPSOT chapters about her trip with the monarchs and how we can help protect the migration. She anticipates being in Texas in mid/late October.
