Know Your Natives: Container Gardens continues with the theme of growing native plants in our home gardens, and we don’t want to exclude the person who lives in a patio home or has only a balcony area for growing plants. This program will explain how easy it is to become a native plant enthusiast with a simple container garden. If you are a first-time grower of “natives” or you are new to container gardening, this program will help you succeed on your first try. From choosing the correct container to learning how to over-winter containers so they can be used for more than one year, we will help you with the information you need. Guidance for choosing the best plants for your location and simple and easy designs for sunny or shaded locations will be provided. Included will be a design for a children’s sensory garden made with native plants.
