Are you trying to select the best pollinator plants for your landscape?
Join us as Ricky provides a big picture view of the importance of pollinators and the plants they require. He will explain the importance of native plants for our wildlife and livestock industry. He will discuss the importance of fall flowering plants for Monarchs and share a dozen native plants beneficial for pollinators.
About Ricky Linex
Ricky Linex is currently President-Elect of the Native Plant Society of Texas (statewide). He served as our chapter’s president from 2012-2014. Ricky retired from the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service while serving as the wildlife biologist for Zone 5 (fifty-two county region including the D/FW metroplex). Ricky continues to teach and assist with the Wildlife Contests around the State of Texas, serves as an instructor for the Texas Brigades (youth training program), teaches at Riparian Workshops and much more. He is the author of “Range Plants of North Central Texas — A Land User’s Guide to Their Identification, Value and Management” published by USDA-NRCS.
This education presentation is open to the public at no charge.
