Seasonal blooms are on display, as shown isemi-landscapes from the demonstration garden at the county landfill in Hutto. You can barely see the Bluebonnets gone to seed below the Monarda citriodora (horsemint, lemon bee balm) and other wildflowers. The volunteers’ work earlier in the year on a cold and windy day has really paid off! Note the rainwater collection system in the second photo – a job well done by Dick Galloway and his crew.
