Now there is a full-length film featuring Dr. Douglas Tallamy, the Maryland entomologist who has become a hero to so many in the native plant movement.
Hometown Habitat: Stories of Bringing Nature Home is available for purchase for individual home use or it can be licensed for community screening. Purchase it directly from the Meadows Project.
The movie is the work of talented film-maker Catherine Zimmerman. Tallamy provides the narrative thread that challenges the notion that humans are here and nature is someplace else. “It doesn’t have to, and shouldn’t, be that way.” Inspiring stories of community commitment to conservation landscaping illustrate Tallamy’s vision by showing how humans and nature can co-exist with mutual benefits.
Hometown Habitat is a two-disk set. Disk one plays the full 90-minute film while disk two plays the film in chapters which can be selected for targeted audiences.
