Houston’s Wildscapes Workshop will be held Saturday, September 10, at the Houston Community College – West Loop Center, located at 5601 W. Loop South.
The workshop will feature local native plant experts, citizen scientists and a special panel program. The program will address: how to promote pollinators in our gardens; threats from exotic invasive plants in our local ecosystems; the important role our regional native ecosystems offer to our growing urban community in the greater Houston area. Complete agenda and more information.
The event starts at 8 am and goes until 3:30 or until plants sell out. Cost is $35 for members and $40 for non-menbers; $50 for all after August 27th. Register online.
This will be the 18th wildscapes workshop event organized annually by the Houston Chapter and co-sponsored by Texas Parks & Wildlife Department. From the start, the mission of the event has been to promote landscaping with native Texas plants that will attract and sustain our local wildlife.
